A Little About Us

How did you meet?
In high school we met freshman year, being in several classes together. We had many mutual friends but weren't the closest. We would joke around every now and then, but for the most part we would push each others buttons for giggles, drawing doodles on each others notebooks and eating each others snacks before the other got to them. 

Who made the first move?
Cathy technically made the first move by reaching out to Luis first, after he had moved to Pennsylvania his sophomore year of high school. She reached out to him to make sure he was ok after Hurricane Sandy and afterward they continued talking. Now, over 10 years later, they are getting ready for their wedding!

What first attracted you to each other?
Cathy: His dark sense of humor 
Luis: Her love of sweets 

What is your favorite memory with each other?
Cathy: Having our boozy Disney singalong nights  
Luis: Decorating Halloween cookies together while sipping wine 

What is your favorite way of spending time together?
We love playing board games and going to the beach with Peggy

How did you get engaged?
Luis proposed in California on a Pacific Coast cliffside at sunset 

Why did you decide on a destination wedding?
We wanted a memorable wedding that we, and our guests, will never forget. We wanted to include our love for travel and the beach, and share this beautiful milestone with those we love!
